I work on the supernanny principle in the workplace: Ignore the bad
behaviour
and erroneous comments, and promote the correct ones. Speaking in
generalities such as those sited would lose the bigwig any credence in
my workplace.

Your comment is correct if those around him don't understand the issues, but

I have found a quiet word later works better than outright face-to-face
confrontation in the heat of the moment.
