[Gllug] VACANCY

It reminds me of a recent problem I have had with the local Job centre. I
run a company manufacturing adult goods as in sex toys, we attend various
adult shows around the country, but I am not allowed to put 18+ into a job
advert, and I have been advised I cannot discriminate on age when it comes
to the interview process.
BTW am I the first to get the work sex into a GLLUG list????

As a 56 yr old IT director this makes me smile :)
Having found that 'unemployability starts at 40' I am definitely in
favour of outlawing age-discriminatory language.
As an employer occasionally looking for a trainee who I would prefer to
be young it is a bit of a pain :)
I guess I will just have to employ people on their merits. Seeing as
this is what I already do, and that most applicants for the trainee
posts are in fact youthful, this is not a big issue.
