[Gllug] laptop battery problem

About six months ago, my laptop was getting hotter and hotter, to the
point of beginning to shut down in the middle of CPU intensive tasks.
The solution turned out to be opening it up and cleaning out the
matted carpet of dust that was stopping the heatsink / fan arrangement
from doing its job.

That doesn't sound like it will answer Gabriel's <salsaman at xs4all.nl>
situation but was a useful lesson for me in laptop maintenance and may
be worth considering as a pretty straightforward thing to check
(depending, of course, on the make and model of the laptop).
