FWIW, I have an e61i which gets pretty damn decent battery life given
the range of capabilities. Caveat, it doesn't do GPS but it comes out of
the box with facilities to connect to any of a range of
bluetooth-capable GPS units, which solves the battery life thing
Karanbir refers to. Would probably also ameliorate the GPS acquisition
time issue too.
And it does python, dammit! :)
