Yes I do understand that BUT when there is no information to post,

Even with logging increased for 9 to 20 in sendmail.mc there wasn't a 
trace of the dialogue with the btclick mailserver and the message simply 
vanished and was never delivered. It turned out that the btclick server 
was wanting specific "from" details. I was using my own e-mail address 
as the "from" rather than the genuine address from the actual site. Once 
I had that sorted the btclick server was happy and so was I.
