[Gllug] Automounting samba shares

I tried playing a movie over the network in KDE yesterday using the 
smb:/ KIO handler and it started making a temporary copy of an enormous 
file; I wanted to scream.

Probably the application wasn't kio-aware, or something, but what's the 
point of something like KIO if it stops you using the applications you 
want to?

Is anyone using an automount system for Samba shares that they'd like to 
recomment?
