I think it's both.

It's generally no longer possible to have speakers who appeal to a wide
enough audience (with very few 'celebrity' exceptions) and I think this
has been the case for quite some time now.

GLLUG does appear to have a bit of an organisational void at the moment.
Is there anyone actually taking responsibility for sorting out new
meetings now?
