[Gllug] Pop-up reminder software

I've never paid much attention to calendar software, preferring to
stick with pencil and paper. But I'm now paying for my intentional
ignorance.

Has anyone a recommendation for something that will give me a pop-up
message, or similar, when it reaches the time and date I've specified.
If it says what it's reminding me about, that would be a plus.

I'm not really after anything sophisticated,
