Diamond is a large and successful new research laboratory on the RAL
campus, and has a quite significant computing and networking
infrastructure, one based largely on GNU/Linux.

The salary range (24 to 36k) covers either a junior assistant or a more
experienced person as the ad says. Note that the final salary pension is
probably worth an extra 20-25% if you want to compare with typical
private sector pay.
