Just to clarify that - they're not "more expensive without Windows" (in 
fact the same machine from DNUK will cost more with Windows than 
without) but they're more expensive because they're built to a different 
standard than you'll get in a cheaper PC from Novatech or Dell.

I've used cheap Novatech boxes as servers and they're OK, provided you 
don't mind replacing the fans now and again.  They don't however have 
ECC RAM, supporting CDs, 3 years on-site etc. included in the price.
