12k!!  For London?  I started my career in Norwich on 8k, moved up to
12k (again Norwich) and then in London I started on 21k.  It's gone up
a fair whack since then, but my goodness, £16k for London isn't going
to get anybody far at all.  Beans on toast for dinner, anyone?
