[Gllug] Virtual disk allocation advice requested

Thank you. I'm finding this a fascinating discussion/education.

Would anyone care to comment on applying some of these thoughts to other
'virtualisation' products, eg Parallels server or (open) VMware? Won't
they all have the same problem, on top of the limitations of their
particular implementation model of 'virtualisation'? (in which case the
comparison is between a virtualised 'whatever' server and the same
server sitting directly on a Linux box)
