My 15 years in the music business left me with only a few strong 
impressions:

1. All musicians are functionally deaf (as are all groupies)
2. All hifi enthusiasts and reviewers are insane (and functionally deaf, 
and are groupies)
3. Musicians have the shortest life expectancy of any profession
4. The music business is fundamentally twisted
5. The above statements are related through some strange dimensional 
twist (see 4.).

Not that I'm generalising or anything...
