BT probably won't charge you this unless there is no previous phone
line there. You'll probably just count as a reconnection.

One problem is that everyone has negative stories about ISPs. I had
dreadful problems with Demon (and they are still chasing me for money
I don't owe), but others think they are the bees knees. I think
Andrews and Arnold were great (but they still tried to charge me for a
domain renewal for a cancelled line).

All the local loop unbundled services need a BT phone line first to be
transferred to them. BT have a minimum term so this will cost you ££.

I've ended up using mobile broadband but I really don't recommend this
as your sole service. I find Vodafone very flaky and they seem to run
out of capacity very easily.
