Even the "legal" terms in the footer? Blimey that is the first bit I
trim when replying to *internal* messages.

I agree that context is important but I still prefer in-line posting.
When replying as part of a discussion I will usually post in-line. This
is why if I want to quote another's message *in it's entirety* then I
tend to forward it as an attachment. That way those who want to read it
can do so, those that don't get a shorter message to read. Granted this
can make it difficult for those reading on mobile devices but we have
none of those.

That's a bit of a straw man argument isn't it? So far - in this
discussion - I'm not aware of anybody actually suggesting such an
imposition. I've just seen people expressing their frustration of the
way others post and the alleged "arrogance" of the other sides.
