The sort of response that does so much to drive Linux on to the
desktop :)

Actually, back about 16 or 17 kernel subversions ago this hardware did
have good drivers. Somewhere in the teens it started to go wrong.

Under many eyes all bugs are shallow, but you need the eyes...
