[Gllug] Disc partitions

Hello,
   The sizes of new disc drives are increasing at a great rate, as are the
Linux distributions. Older computers often had much smaller discs, but could
still provide very useful functions if more than one disc is available. As
an example I have a HP dual processor server with several 9.1GB SCSI drives.
Some information about splitting / into different partitions is available,
but which can safely be placed on other discs without booting problems?
