Unfortunately, some of the High Street banks still persist in trying to
use Windows (often Windows 2000).  It's trivially easy to get access - I
demonstrated this to the Manager of my local bank branch, including
looking up details of HIS OWN account, without a legitimate user name or
password (I just guessed both!).  They've still done exactly nothing
about the problem, so I've moved my accounts to a bank that take
security seriously!
