Hi everyone,

I seriously messed up today by accidently deleting /dev. Basically I'd
created a chroot and mounted the hosts /dev inside the chroot. Once I'd
finished with the chroot I rm -rf'ed it. Unfortunately I forgot to
unmount /dev, /dev/sh, /dev/pts, /sys and /proc. I wasn't using udev or
anything, so I cd'ed to /dev and ran 'MAKEDEV generic'. Everything seems
to be working now, but I'm afraid to reboot. /sys and /proc seem to be
okay, but I'm no expert. Do I need to recreate anything else (either in
/dev, /sys or /proc)? Sorry for being such an idiot (I guess I've
learned my lesson now though).
