[Gllug] Ubuntu 8.10 accessing win xp ntfs file system

I use ubuntu 8.10 dual boot system to use the MS Publisher and store the files in windows xp ntfs file system. Do you think it is a good reliable way to mount the drive in windows xp ntfs format as common storage for both data files from ubuntu 8.10 and windows xp? It is opposed to use fat32 format for linux files and ntfs for windows xp files.

Please advise.
