Dear GLLUGers,
I think that our electronic scales needs replacement
batteries; already in the machine are two Sony CR2032
batteries.
Amazon offer these batteries for 0.01 GBP, yes one penny
each, though they are dispatched by K.K. Electronics who
charge 4.50 GBP P&P per item. So that's 9.02 GBP when I buy
them via Amazon.
I rang K.K. Electronics who have a shop in the Edgware Road
near Marble Arch. Over the counter, these batteries are
3.50 GBP each. So that's 7.00 GBP when I buy them
direct from K.K. Electronics. I have a freedom pass, so I
won't have to pay to get to their shop.
Has the world gone completely mad, or have I missed
something fundamental?
Regards,
Mick /"\
