If they are private individuals, this is likely to be illegal under
the Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications (implemented as
Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations
2003).  Particularly since you have been told very publicly now that
they don't wish to receive any further communications from you.
