I did mine online for the first time this year. The HMRC site refused
to accept my login if I tried from Debian/Iceweasel3. Debian/Opera
worked as did WinXP/Firefox3 and WinXP/Chrome.  Eventually I got it to
accept my login by having user-agent switcher present Debian/Iceweasel
as Vista/IE7.

Oddly, once I had logged in the first time I was able to successfully
login on all subsequent visit presenting as Debian/Iceweasel.
