Yes but Richard's question was " How will an Ubuntu server -- ordinary or LTS --
receive security updates when it is nearing 5, 6, 7 years old?" which
is what the Ubuntu foundation is for. It is probable though that
they'd have to reassess their commitment to LTS (or at least not make
any further LTS releases) following an event such as those requiring
use of the trust fund.
