I fed this into my handy e820 maps processing awk script (attached)
and I would seem to agree with you that you're only getting about 3.4
GB of the total made available by your BIOS.

         0 9f000 651264 bytes 0.6 MB
     9f000 a0000 4096 bytes 0.0 MB
    100000 cfe81400 3487044608 bytes 3325.5 MB
  cfe81400 d0000000 1567744 bytes 1.5 MB
  f0000000 f4007000 67137536 bytes 64.0 MB
  f4008000 f400c000 16384 bytes 0.0 MB
  fec00000 fec10000 65536 bytes 0.1 MB
  fed20000 feda0000 524288 bytes 0.5 MB
  fee00000 fee10000 65536 bytes 0.1 MB
  ffb00000 100000000 5242880 bytes 5.0 MB
     TOTAL 3562319872 bytes 3397.3 MB

My advice would be to search through your BIOS settings to see what's
eating the other ~600 MB of usable memory. Maybe it's mapping it as
video RAM or something? Also try a BIOS update.

Rich.
