It doesn't matter what WE want - the general public just want computers
they can bring home from the shop, plug in, and use immediately - so
they're not concerned at all about whether it's FOSS, MS or Apple.  As
long as it "gets the job done" they're reasonably happy.  If they can
save £100 by not having a proprietary OS, save £300 by not installing
"Office", and not worry about malware, they'll be entirely happy.
