Both windows and linux support IPv6 out of the box.
A device can run both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time.
Any router on the network will have to also support IPv6 otherwise the
IPv6 packets will not pass.
The ISP will have to support IPv6.
Hubs and switches don't look at the IP bit, so you won't have to touch them.
So, you might have problem with a DSL router not doing IPv6.
You can work round the router problem by tunnelling IPv6 over IPv4,
but this requires a tunnelling device at the ISP for you to connect
to.
