Of course the nice thing about Ubuntu is that it's close enough to
Debian that you can add the Debian testing/unstable sources to your
/etc/apt/sources.list, pin them way down, then apt-src things from them
explicitly as needed, satisfying build-depends from the Ubuntu
repositories automatically.
