I presume that it's a Lithium-Ion battery? If that's the case, it won't
make much difference how much or how often you discharge it. However,
it's never good to stop charging before the charging is complete.
Despite the claims that modern batteries don't exhibit "memory effect",
there is some small measure present in all the secondary batteries I've
ever seen.
The capacity of the batteries tends to remain fairly constant over their
life, but when they start to show their age, they decline rapidly...
