I'm maybe not understanding this here.
The financial sector was one of those interested?
So - you have a DNA signature on your bank smartcard. So in order to
verify who you are the bank has to take a sample of your blood, or
saliva, and put it into a sequencing machine?
Morality and civil liberties arguments aside, there are some great
business opportunities here for chemistry, physics and IT types.
