re DD facility on credit cards;  some do  some don't.
I switched my credit cards from HSBC to LloydsTSB some years ago because HSBC
would only take the 'minimum payment' by DD   - basically a scam in the hope
that I would forget to pay tghe balance by the due date and get screwed interest
at 20% or whatever.  So I switched to LloydsTSB where they would take fhe full
amount on the due date.
