Well, if they're too cheap or lazy that they won't seek out quality  
and just take the first service that's heavily-advertised at them,  
they deserve to suffer crap service. Usually they're the pub bores  
complaining about how they waited in all day for Virgin to turn up,  
and they didn't, or how they spent all of last week on the phone to  
Sky's call centre, or whatever.

As a rule of thumb, if you've heard of the company from mass-media  
advertising, it's probably going to be crap. Good ISPs don't need to  
advertise, and instead gain custom by word of mouth.

I recommend WebTapestry whose ADSL offering is fast and reliable. They  
can also do the phone line and call package if you wish.
