I think it's probably better to assume the best of people. The OP
made it absolutely clear he worked *for* the company:
We require.. we're looking ... we are based.... The URL supplied made
it obsolutely obvious that the company whom the email derived, the
company requiring the sysadmin was the company described. I didn't
get the slightest sniff of agency - it was plainly and obviously a
genuine email froma genuine person from a genuine company following
the list guidelines to the letter.
