[Gllug] Which architecture?

Hi

I have a Dell Precision M65 and I finally have enough disk space to install Debian.
I'm wondering which architecture to use?

I have been reading and am aware of http://josefsson.org/etch-dell-m65.html

CPU Intel Core2 T7200 @ 2.00GHz
RAM 2.5G (but will be upograding to 4GB).
BIOS Rev A08 - will be upgrading to A10.

The choice, if any, would appear to be between i386 and amd64?
I am sure I read somewhere that one could use amd64 if one has more than 4GB memory.
If anyone can advise, thanks in advance.
