Reading the web page prior to the event, I had the impression that it
was just an event for vendors to sell their wares.  Having been to the
more casual London CloudCamp events, it seemed a waste of time as far
as I was concerned.

Simon Wardley of Canonical made a small comment on his blog recently
about fees to speak at upcoming events, which I assume was a
reference to the Cloud Expo:
