   A wired connection can be a single point to point connection. A wireless
router can not connect to, and ensure that it does only connect to, a single
specified destination, unless it is specifically designed as a point to
point system. A wireless router is usually purchased to connect to more than
one destination. There is no point in spending time and money designing and
installing software that is very unlikely to be used without specialised
additional equipment such as directional dish aerials. The specifications on
the box should tell you whether it is capable of working in bridge mode (I
am looking at a box which specifies IEEE 802.1D).
