There is not such a thing as user friendliness when it comes to user
interface design. A lot of usability is derived from familiarity,
which is why most Linux enthusiasts roll their eyes in despair when
confronted with a graphical user interface which is the main means to
interact with some applications, which would be otherwise well suited
for command line trickery.
