Hi John,

I've moved back to the original card/driver as I was interested in
following up your suggestion. Below is the output when the network
isn't working.

[root at myserver ~]# arp -a
mydnsserver (***.***.***.***) at **:**:**:**:**:* [ether] on eth1
mypersonallaptop (***.***.***.***) at **:**:**:**:**:** [ether] on eth1
mygateway (***.***.***.***) at **:**:**:**:**:** [ether] on eth1

When the machine's network is working again it lists the identical
entries in the output.
