Erm what happened?
I'm running openSUSE 11.1 here but have run SuSE since the Pro days
I take it that as you've said the hostname is in /etc/HOSTNAME (Upper
Case) and you've checked hosts.YaST2save
for example my HOSTNAME = linux-du10 so in hosts.YaST2save = 127.0.0.2
linux-du10.site linux-du10
/etc/hosts give my company domain 127.0.0.2 centrosales.site centrosales
What should your hostname be? what is the erroneous one (name) you are
getting?
Have you stuck anything different under the Samba config for NetBIOS
hostname?
TBH I'm stumped at the minute :-(
