This is a 2006 paper about the quality of the Linux PRNG (Pseudo
Random Number Generator): http://bit.ly/ckO9RJ

Long paper short: at the time the PRNG depended on mouse/keyboard/disk
input to generate entropy, and thus a problem in devices that have
none of those (like embedded routers and so on). I don't know how much
of the paper applies to newer kernel versions.
