Yes, yes and yes. It's true that printer resolution is almost entirely
marketing drivel these days, and that ink bleed is several times the
smallest dot implied by the claimed resolution. But for whatever reason
(due to the way the ink is applied to the paper, presumably) a good
colour inkjet on high quality paper will give you significantly
better quality output than a colour laser or dye sublimation printer.
