You won't see that sort of thing (working at its full rated speed!)
until you get up to layer 3 or 4 devices and they may cost you more than
a dedicated PC would when a quad core's what, £300 these days? I'd
welcome a reasonably priced 8/12 port full bandwidth gigabit switch with
basic routing smarts though so if you do happen across one and it's
fairly cheap please let me know :)
