Note that these meters do not work when clamped around your average twin 
& earth mains cable. You must be able to separate the cores and clamp 
just the live or neutral side.

Carving an inch of insulation off a running server's power lead with a 
stanley knife probably contravenes far too many H&S regulations to be 
worthy of contemplation...

If anyone knows of one that works over normal mains leads I would love 
to hear about it as I'd like to get one for exactly this type of 
application.
