[Gllug] cups connection problem

Hi,
I have two machines on local lan:

desktop 10.1.1.120 has ports 22 (ssh) and 631 (cupsd) open
nmap from desktop -> desktop and netstat confirm this

nmap from laptop 10.1.1.3 -> 10.1.1.120 sees only port 22


no internal firewalls AFAICT.

Printer is hosted on desktop, with local announce set on.
Laptop print manager says "printer not responding".



Why can't the laptop see port 631 open ?
