Actually, to make it clear, I run a bash script every ten minutes
which takes the system temperature from IPMI.
The script sends these values to Ganglia. the script will also run a
shutdown command if the temperature is above
a set threshold.
Reason being KISS - I wanted to have something as simple as possible
which would be robust.
