Apart from being toxic, I believe that the stuff is quite costly.

The award for most improbable domestic CPU cooling system has to go to
sodium-potassium liquid metal cooling:

I'd previously only heard of fast breeder nuclear reactors being
cooled with the stuff. And these are RoHS certified apparently. I
should imagine that these are not something to be simply thrown in the
bin when you're done with it.
