In a way, yes. It did highlight the MD's increasing resemblence to a Bond
villain( a big wingback chair, but no cat ) . At the time, people were
suspicious of biometrics. The cost was £sillymoney as well IIRC.

Personally I'd hesitate to work anywhere implants were mandated, excepting
Hollywood.
