I have dealt with old unsupported devices before.
Make sure you have a solution to the problem of it "Breaking".
Normally, the answer to that is to replace it with modern supported equipment.
I Linux box could probably replace the 9300 if a off-the-shelf device
does not exist.
What interface types on the 9300 are in use?
