[Gllug] One Virtual desktop across two laptops?

I made a nasty hack using xdmx and Xvnc a few years ago. Window management did the right thing, but it was slow and broke many pretty things, even on the local display. I could dig it out if it's of interest.

Ideally, I think you'd want something to expand your virtual desktop in a non scrolling manner, and share part of that with x11vnc or similar.
