[Gllug] Invisible mouse

Hello,
   I have just done a routine software update using aptitude on a laptop
running KDE on debian "squeeze" and the most (in)visible change is that the
mouse touchpad and buttons still work perfectly but there is no visible icon
on about 9 out of 10 re-boots. If it does show the spinning icon as xorg
starts it will show the mouse icon, otherwise it will not. Other computers
running the same desktop on squeeze do not show the problem at present, but
they are not usually re-started. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
